Today, it's Delphi's 16th birthday - congratulations! And today also marks the birth of the iPhone / iPod Touch (and iPad) edition of my weblog at http://www.bobswart.nl/iBlog (if you go to that URL without an iPhone, you will end up at http://www.bobswart.nl/blog instead by the way). This is one of the demos that I will show during my Delphi (Prism) XE iPhone Development seminar later today for 60+ people.

The agenda of this day in 't Brandpunt in Helmond Brandevoort is as follows:

Christophe Ravaut 11/02/14 09:39:57Dear, The demo with Delphi(Prism)XE IPhone Development, Is this on a Mac. Or is it also possible on an xpwindow. regards, Christophe Ravaut
Bob Swart 11/02/14 09:56:51Before the break I'll be using Delphi Prism XE with MonoDevelop on a Mac (this part is not possible on a Windows machine) - which is also the topic of Brian Long's white paper - but after the break I'll be using Delphi XE on Windows, using IntraWeb and the TMS IntraWeb iPhone Controls to produce web-based applications for the iPhone. The screenshot that you see in this blog post is in fact an IntraWeb iPhone application at http://www.bobswart.nl/iBlog
Bob Swart 11/02/14 19:08:12Cool, a reference and mention from TMS Software, the makers of the TMS IntraWeb iPhone Controls that I used for the iBlog, see http://www.tmssoftware.com/site/blog.asp?post=188
Oliver Münzberg 11/02/15 22:26:46Did not work on iPhone 2G (3.1.2) and iPad (4.2.1) The Browser Bars on Top and Bottom are still visible and list items just get blue ... nothing else (ok, Category Filter seems to work as it should) TicTacToe ... didn't work properly too. Maybe i'm not skilled enough to work with this
Bob Swart 11/02/15 22:29:05I do not have an iPhone 2G (only 4G and iPad, but it worked fine on the iPad for me)... I'm sorry about the problems, but I'm not sure how to fix these. I am looking for someone to show me how it looks on an Adroid (I don't have such a device), but for now the iPhone 4G was nice enough for the first release...
Johan 11/02/17 07:35:16I am in desperate need of Delphi 6! My installation disc finally gave in and now I cannot install my favorite Delphi anymore. Hopefully I can download it from somewhere? Please help!
Bob Swart 11/02/17 07:37:36@Johan: assuming you still have your serial number and installation key, contact your local Delphi reseller and see if they still have a copy of the Delphi 6 install CD around (or an ISO image for example).

Johan 11/02/17 07:45:22@Bob - yes I still have my serial numbers. I will try that route. Dankbaar
Francesco 11/02/28 16:12:21I tried on my iphone, it is a little slow (3 seconds for the above to appear). Are you running iblog on a server located outside of Europe/is it very busy? I tried from Italy.
Francesco 11/02/28 16:12:44Fix: I meant "About message" not "Above"
Francesco 11/02/28 16:14:04Last question: the fact it runs in iphone only is your choice? I tried from Android and blackberry and it renders as a normal website. May you comment please?
Bob Swart 11/02/28 16:19:43I run it from my server at home, in The Netherlands. Not a commercial dedicated server.
I scan the User Agent for words like iPhone, iPod and iPad, and if not, I redirect to the normal website. So Android and Blackberry are not supported until I learn that their User Agent is ;-)
Francesco 11/02/28 20:43:00Thanks a lot for the very clear answer.
Bob Swart 11/10/25 22:29:00There is now a QR code to access the iBlog URL:
seo service 13/09/06 04:24:52bUmOWd Thanks for the blog.Really looking forward to read more. Will read on...
