Delphi 2007 for Win32 Development Essentials is my first Delphi 2007 for Win32 courseware manual available on now, covering the IDE, Delphi language enhancements, Together support, Unit testing and Globalisation/localisation. See the preview for the full table of contents with more details and a some sample pages.

The manual itself contains 108 pages, with 33,123 words and numerous screenshots. No exercises and answers in the back this time, but enough examples and demo code to download.

I've set the price to 19 Euro and 98 cents, and also decided to lower the price of my other courseware manuals published at (due to the every increasing value of the Euro compared to the US dollar for example, and also because some courseware manuals are beginning to get old, like the Delphi 2005 or ADO.NET 1.1 books).

Specific CodeGear RAD Studio topics like VCL Database Development (including DataSnap coverage), Web Development (with VCL for the Web), ASP.NET 2.0 Web Development, and XML, SOAP and Web Services will be covered in forthcoming courseware manuals.

Note that the manual can also be purchased in PDF format from my own courseware page, in which case the book is more expensive (99 Euro) but then also contains an appendix on using the Webcam and Skype API, and includes free support by e-mail (which is not included in the printed copies, since I don't know who purchased the book from

Rick Carter 08/02/20 22:27:28The book preview does not work for me, while it works fine for the Win32 Database book. Win98SE, Firefox 2.
Bob Swart 08/02/20 22:44:45For the new books, Lulu provides the preview as a Flash control (instead of a PDF file with the first few pages). I'm afraid there's not a lot I can do about this, but I will see if I can upload the table of contents to me own site later this week.
